I heard a preacher say one time that America didn't need more laws.
...IT NEEDED MORE SUPPER TABLES.
And you know what? He was right.
If more people sat down and ate just one meal once a day with the children they've spawned, America would be better off in terms of teenage literacy, school performance, diets, nutrition and a whole list of other social things.
But then that would require - first of all -
(1) that the physical mother and father actually live together,
(2) one of them actually knew how to prepare a nutritious meal without the aid of fast-food or something already prepared in a bag, and
(3) they had a supper table where everyone would take the time to gather around instead of satisfying their own immediate selfish wants.
